OPPC ART GALLERY: May 2024

Walt has always been a good artist but getting married, starting a family, and being self-employed in the delivery business, pushed the artist within to the back burner. Oil painting was one of many hobbies but at the age of 36, something clicked. His artwork became better and better while developing patience, and honing his skills, his artwork progressed. Walt is a self-taught oil painter who developed his own primitive style and paints by his own vision. His subject matter reflects ordinary mid-western scenes, with enough action going on that the paintings hint of a story. His paintings are upbeat, cheerful, and engaging to look at. As Walt would say, “Good karma creates good artwork and good artwork creates good karma.”

Walt currently serves as president of the Hamilton County Artists’ Association.
