OPPC Art Gallery: July 2023

Orchard Park Presbyterian Church Welcomes Esther Jean McQueen to the Art Gallery.

Esther was born in Puebla Pue, Mexico. Her mother is Mexican, and her father is American. At the time of Esther’s birth, her father was in Vietnam. Her mother went to Mexico during the pregnancy. Each year growing up, she visited Mexico. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Esther feels closest to God when she is creating. Her desire is to bring joy to many people through her art. Like a musician, her pieces vary in style. Some are soft and romantic. Others are bold like heavy metal.

She uses various materials to express her works: acrylic paint, watercolor, thread, barbed wire, as well as scraping and peeling.

Esther Jean obtained her BFA at the Herron School of Art and Design.

The Art Gallery is located in the music wing of OPPC. As you look to the sanctuary if you follow the hallway left, it will take you right to it. The gallery is open during standard business hours Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Sundays 9:45 a.m. to Noon.
