Call to Confession – Elyse Barajas

*Prayer of Confession

(unison)

Lord, you know our inmost being. You know all that we are, all that we know, all that we think, and all that we believe. When those thoughts, beliefs, ideas and be-ings turn from you, we long to be placed back on Your path. We pray that our lives might be a never-ending offering to you, and that our sin might lead to more ways to learn and grow closer to your hopes for us. Cleanse us of our sin; turn our thoughts and feet ever toward Your Way. We pray this together in the name of your Son Jesus. Amen.

*Declaration of Pardon – Elyse Barajas

Leader: Friends, believe the good news.

People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

*Gloria Patri, No. 581

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,

and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning,

is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, amen

*Passing of the Peace – Elyse Barajas

Leader: The Peace of Christ be with you.

People: And also with you.

Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna in the Highest.

Memorial Acclamation – No. 553

(sung)

Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again. Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.

The Lord’s Prayer

(sung)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

The Communion

*Prayer of Dedication for our Offerings and Annual Giving Commitments for 2024

Leader: Creator of all, the earth is yours, the world and all who live in it.

People: You have entrusted us with gifts— time, talent, energy, money— and asked us to use them to build your peaceable kingdom. With thanks and praise we respond to your call.

Leader: We bring these gifts you have given, returning your generosity, paying it forward.

People: We offer ourselves, our lives, our hopes and fears, our dollars and our hours. We commit ourselves to work for your world, to love and serve wherever you call.

Leader: We ask your blessing on this, your church, as we seek to follow you with heart, mind, and soul. People: Bless also these gifts, our investment in your future, that they may multiply in faith, hope, peace and love. Amen

THANK YOU MESSAGE FROM ALBERT & MARGARET CHEN

Church Family,

Margaret and I are so grateful for Dr. Reverend Shelly Wood, Mike Pietranczyk, Bari Faudree, Gary Crouse, David Norris, and Randy Hutchinson’s participation in the Sachem Award Ceremony. Pastor Shelly offered a heartfelt invocation, and Mike Pietranczyk composed a song especially for this occasion – In a Field of Golden Sunrise. The ceremony ended with the audience joining the quartet in singing, All Glory Be to Christ. We appreciate you sharing your talents with us to make the event more memorable.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. Albert & Margaret Chen
