This Sunday, 4/30/2023, we will start of our study of the “Lord’s Prayer.” In Matthew the Lord’s Prayer is part of a collection of Jesus’ teachings known as “The Sermon On The Mount.” In Luke, Jesus had been praying (probably in solitude except for his Disciples) and when he finished, one of his Disciples asked Jesus to “teach us how to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
Only Matthew and Luke include the Lord’s Prayer; although, there are other critical prayers in Mark and John. However, it is Matthew’s rendering of the Lord’s Prayer that has been adopted by the Church as the template for how we should pray.
We hope you join us for this class. All are welcome, at anytime!
