3rd and 5th graders – you are awesome! So are your families!!
In early 2024, OPPC purchased and donated over $1,600 of food stuffs to the CUMC food pantry to feed hungry Hamilton County children and adults. The 3rd-5th graders and their families, led by Pastor Trish Lisa, organized, transported and stocked the food pantry shelves.
Along with hands-on serving, the elementary school kids learned about the growing need to provide food to our food insecure neighbors and took a tour of the food pantry. The project highlights our growing partnership with Carmel United Methodist Church and emphasizes OPPC’s church-wide initiative to address local food insecurity.
