Why We Give
We give to be faithful stewards of all God has blessed us with. We believe that God owns the world and everything in it. We’re just caring for our portion for a time.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)

Why We Pledge
We pledge to help us better plan for how we can demonstrate God’s love to our congregation, our community, and our World. Our pledges allow us to set budgets and to help our committees and staff to understand the resources they’ll have available to accomplish God’s mission through us.
- For our congregation: worship that lifts our hearts, pastoral care in times of need, and Christian education that nurtures faith from nursery through adulthood.
- For our community: meals provided to Carmel Clay school children, neighbors sustained through the Carmel United Methodist Food Pantry, and hundreds of preschool families welcomed and supported.
- For the world: students in Haiti receiving education, healthcare reaching remote villages through a mobile clinic, and communities in Zimbabwe gaining access to clean water.
