At OPPC, our commitment to serving others extends beyond our local community, reaching those in need across the world. Through your generosity, we have been able to touch lives on a global scale, providing essential resources, education, healthcare, and hope to those who need it most. Here’s how your support is transforming lives globally:
Birthing Kits for New Parents: Each year, we assemble and send 100 birthing kits to assist parents in the safe delivery of their babies. Most recently, on August 25, 2024, your contributions helped make this vital work possible.
Sponsoring Students in Haiti: Education is a powerful tool for change. We are proud to sponsor 3 students in Haiti in their pursuit of post-high school education, at a cost of $2,500 per student per year. Your support provides these students with the opportunity to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Mobile Clinic in Haiti: Through our partnership with Dr. Renaud Gerve, we underwrite a mobile clinic that serves 20 remote villages in the northeastern mountain region of Haiti, treating 250 patients each month. Your contributions ensure that vital healthcare services reach those in areas with limited access to medical care.
Building a Hospital in Cap Haitian: We’ve also provided financial assistance to help build a hospital in Cap Haitian that now serves over 1,000 patients every month. This critical healthcare facility is a beacon of hope for countless individuals who would otherwise lack access to quality medical care.
Safe Water for Zimbabwe: Through Fountains of Hope, we installed a large water purification system at George Stark High School in Mbare, Zimbabwe. This system provides 1,600 gallons of safe drinking water each day to 1,825 students and 45 teachers. With your support, we’re preventing waterborne diseases like cholera and typhoid, improving the health and well-being of an entire community.
Caravan Mission Trip: Our Caravan mission team, made up of 27 volunteers, completed 32 hours of service, feeding approximately 350 homeless individuals, building 40 bunk bed kits for children in need, and laying 400 feet of fencing for equestrian therapy at Peaceful Pastures. Your generosity enabled this life-changing mission.
