Our Children’s Ministry serves kids from birth through 5th grade, creating a safe and joyful space where they can grow in faith and community. Through engaging Bible stories, creative activities, and inclusive programs, children discover their identity as beloved children of God. We nurture curiosity, celebrate laughter, and encourage spiritual growth in ways that honor each child’s unique journey.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2025- ROAD TRIP!
Children ages 4 and older are invited to join us for a week of faith, fellowship, food, and fun! We meet daily from 9 a.m.
With God's help, we work to:
- Create a welcoming environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
- Open the pages of scripture with the children so they can meet God there, learn who they are as children of God and disciples of Jesus Christ, and find their place in God’s ongoing story of grace.
- Engage children in a variety of ways, mindful of different learning styles and behavioral challenges.
- Teach children that laughter and joy are part of the Christian faith by ensuring that classes and activities, Bible studies and service projects are also opportunities for fellowship and fun.
- Teach children the importance of being part of a faith community as they mature in their understanding of their relationship with God and find new ways to express what they believe and why.

Nursery (Babies, Toddlers, Preschool)
The nursery is available from 9:45-12:15 each Sunday, for children from birth to preschool in rooms 126 and 127. We have expanded to offer 2 rooms for childcare: one for infants and toddlers, and the other for preschoolers. These rooms are staffed by members of our childcare team and Butler University students. All nursery workers are supervised by Pastor Trish and undergo background checks and safety training.

Children's Church (Kindergarten through Grade 5)
Elementary aged students begin worship with their parents and then gather in the back of the Sanctuary during the Passing of the Peace. Pastor Trish or a volunteer leads the group upstairs to Rooms 208-209 for Children's Church. This program is lectionary based, so children will be learning about the same Bible passages adults are hearing in service. All children and youth are encouraged to bring their Bibles with them. If your child or teen needs a new Bible, we will gladly provide one!

Sprout (Preschool through Grade 5)
After worship, preschoolers will be brought upstairs to rooms 208-209 from the nursery to join those remaining after Children's Church. This time period gives parents flexibility to attend Fellowship time and/or Adult Education options. Nursery care continues for babies and toddlers. Sprout has a monthly theme that children will respond to through art, drama, movement and instrumental music. During December, Sprout will focus on preparation for the Christmas Pageant.

Children's Choir (Kindergarten through Grade 5)
Led by our Music Director, Michael Pietranczyk, assisted by his wife Kimberly and daughter Hala, this group meets in the Music Room from 11:45-12:15 on Sundays after worship. A volunteer will come to escort children attending Sprout in Rooms 208-209 from that activity to choir. The choir presents anthems in worship from September to June. K-5 children are welcome to join at any time! Drop by the Music Room on Sundays from 11:45am-12:15pm and sing with us!

Threads (Grade 3 through Grade 5)
Threads for 3rd – 5th graders, meets once a month either on site or off. This group works to knit together what children learn in Children’s Ministry with what is to come in Youth Ministry, allowing students to see the pattern of their faith in all aspects of their life. Led by a group of volunteers and Trish Lisa. Reach out to Trish Lisa to be added to the group to know where this group will meet each month.
