We want to share an incredible update on how your generosity and service are making a tangible difference in our community. For the past three years, Orchard Park has proudly partnered with Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County to host the Together Today Carmel program right here in our building every week.
This partnership is a perfect embodiment of our church-wide mission to address loneliness. The results speak for themselves:
- Since its inception, more than 121 local seniors have participated in the program.
- Those seniors have attended for a cumulative total of over 3,000 visits!
- Most importantly, participants report a significant decrease in isolation and a meaningful increase in connections and relationships.
Your mission dollars have been crucial to this success. While it costs Shepherd’s Center approximately $15,000 annually to run the program at our site, donations from Orchard Park totaling $8,000 since the beginning have helped offset these costs.
Beyond financial support, our members have shown up in person, acting as lead volunteers each week to welcome and engage with our senior neighbors.
