Where does the Rummage Sale Money go?
Each year, the Presbyterian Women (PW) board thoughtfully decides how to distribute the funds raised. Last year, your generosity supported:
- Fountains of Hope (water systems in Asheville, North Carolina)
- Youth Caravan
- Family Promise (housing for the homeless)
- Good News Mission
- Haiti Mobile Clinic
- Camp Pyoca and scholarships for campers
- OPPC food and gas cards
We also use proceeds to:
- Pay our Spring Tea speaker
- Support OPPC college-age youth with Christmas and Valentine gift cards
- Pay dues to the national PW organization for disaster relief and special projects
What Happens to Unsold Items?
Nothing goes to waste! After the sale:
- Good News Mission collects remaining items for their secondhand shop on Washington Street in Indianapolis.
- Blankets and towels are donated to the Hamilton County Humane Society.
- Books go to the Middleton Library.
- Jeans are given to the “Jeans Project” for those in need.
- Infant items are provided to the Pregnancy Center in Noblesville.
- Baskets are donated to the Altrusa Foundation.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and share our blessings.
Thanks be to God for our many blessings
