We’ve now reviewed 72 profiles and were able to narrow the search to a small group of candidates we believed could be a strong fit for Orchard Park. Each of these candidates received additional questions and we have listened to several of their sermons—thank you, COVID, for making online services so accessible!
After reviewing the additional questions and sermons, we were able to narrow the pool even further and have recently completed verbal conversations with a few of these candidates. We are now prayerfully discerning whether one of them is the person God is calling to Orchard Park.
Once a candidate is identified, the next step in this process is to seek approval from the Committee on Ministry. After receiving COM approval, the Session will call a congregational meeting for the purpose of calling the candidate and approving the Terms of Call.
