Recognizing that all of us come to a rough patch in our lives when we are struggling to sort things out, Stephen Ministers are available to be

God’s listening presence.

Grounded in Jesus’s command to love one another, Stephen Ministry provides care to members of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church and members of the broader community. Through ongoing one-on-one same gender confidential relationships, Stephen Ministers provide love and care to those experiencing challenging times.

Stephen Ministry is confidential.  The identity of those receiving care and what happens in each caring relationship is private.

Stephen Ministry

The ministry of deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of compassion, witness, and service, sharing in the redeeming love of Jesus Christ for the poor, the hungry, the sick, the lost, the friendless, the oppressed, those burdened by unjust policies or structures, or anyone in distress.  Members of the Board of Deacons at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church are elected by the congregation, commissioned for service and serve under the supervision and authority of the session.  Review the current list of OPPC deacons here.
