Building for the Future: Construction Updates at Orchard Park

At Orchard Park, we believe our building is more than just a place—it’s a tool for ministry. Over the past few months, we’ve been making several improvements to better serve our congregation, preschool, and community partners. Here’s a look at the exciting updates happening across our campus:

New Hallway Flooring from North Chapel to the Pavilion

We’re excited to share that the hallways stretching from the North Chapel to the Pavilion are getting a much-needed upgrade. After years of wear and tear, the existing flooring is being replaced with Kinetex® non-slip flooring, designed for both durability and safety.

This new material isn’t just practical—it’s a thoughtful investment in making our building safer and more welcoming for all who walk through it. Every entrance along the corridor will also feature runoff sections, helping keep floors dry and minimizing slips during rainy or snowy weather.

This improvement is one of many aimed at caring for our building so that it continues to serve the needs of the congregation and our many partners for years to come.

Lounge Renovation: Adding Three Double Doors

To improve flow and create a more open, inviting environment, we’re adding three sets of double doors to the Lounge. This update will enhance visibility and accessibility, making the space feel more connected to the rest of the building and easier to use for fellowship, meetings, and gatherings.

Whether it’s coffee after worship, a Bible study group, or a weekday event, these new doors will help the Lounge function more like a true heart of the church — open, flexible, and welcoming.

Room 214: A New Preschool Classroom

As part of our commitment to young families and Christian education, Room 214 is being transformed into a dedicated preschool classroom. This newly repurposed space will be tailored for our youngest learners, offering a bright, safe, and age-appropriate environment where children can grow in faith, friendship, and foundational learning.

The renovation supports the ongoing growth of our preschool program and reflects our investment in the preschool program and the church. We’re excited to see this room come to life.

Rooms 203 & 205: New Senior High Room

Our senior high youth ministry is getting a new home! We’re relocating the youth room from Room 215 into the newly combined space of Rooms 203 and 205. This new area will give our high schoolers room to grow, gather, and connect in meaningful ways.

Rooms 208 & 209: New Youth Ministry Space

To better support our youth ministry, Rooms 208 and 209 are being combined to serve as the new ministry space for Rev. Trish Lisa. Previously located in Room 205, Trish will now have a more dedicated area to interact with the youth of OPPC.

Toilet Upgrades Across the Church

It may not be the flashiest renovation, but it’s definitely a welcome one! We’ve replaced 14 toilets throughout the church with high-efficiency Gerber Viper models. These upgrades improve reliability and functionality in some of the most-used areas of our building.

A huge thank you to Gary Crouse and Dave Muse for their hands-on work and servant hearts in making it happen.

Thank You for Your Support!

None of these updates would be possible without the generosity, patience, and prayers of our Orchard Park family. We’re grateful for your continued support as we care for our building and prepare it for the next season of ministry.

Stay tuned for more updates—and if you see a construction zone, know that it’s just one more sign that we’re growing together.
