On All Saints’ Sunday, we take time to remember the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us. This is a day when we affirm our belief in the communion of saints—the spiritual bond that unites all believers, living and deceased, in Christ.
We pray for all the saints who, by their faithful obedience and steadfast hope, have shown the same mind that was in Christ Jesus.
In Loving Memory
Today, we especially lift up to God the names of those from Orchard Park Presbyterian’s flock who have, since last All Saints’ Day, finished their race and are now at rest with God. While we grieve their physical absence, we celebrate their lives and the profound faith they shared with us.
Please hold in your hearts the memory of these beloved members:
- Fred Lindsey
- Jeff Friar
- Ev Simpson
- Bruce Breeden
- Sue Andrews
- Judie Spanenberg
- Joyce Jones
- Jeff Truster
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” (Hebrews 12:1-2, NIV)
Their lives are an enduring testament to the power of God’s grace, and their memories will continue to inspire us as we continue our own journey of faith.
May the peace of Christ be with all who mourn, and may we all find comfort in the promise of the resurrection and eternal life.
