As the days grow cooler and the season of thankfulness approaches, we are excited to announce the return of our annual mission to feed our neighbors: Share the Harvest 2025!
Once again, Orchard Park Presbyterian Church is honored to team up with our dear partners at Harvest Christian Fellowship (Indianapolis). This year, we are uniting our efforts to provide 35 complete Thanksgiving meals to families in need, ensuring a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving meal on their tables.
For many years, this project has been a deeply meaningful tradition for both our congregations, embodying the spirit of community, compassion, and true thankfulness. Now, we are asking for your help to make this year’s outreach a success!
How You Can Share the Harvest
It takes the whole church body to assemble and distribute 35 full Thanksgiving feasts! Getting involved is easy and there’s a perfect role for everyone, whether you have an hour to give or can contribute a donation.
Look for the “SHARE THE HARVEST” display on Mainstreet from November 9th through November 23rd.
On the display, you’ll find a variety of “Task Cards” with instructions on how to participate. Choose the card that best suits your time and talents!
Here are the ways you can pitch in:
- 🛒 Purchase Items for the Meal Kits: Grab a card listing specific non-perishable food items needed to complete one of the 35 meal kits.
- 💰 Donate Funds: We are collecting monetary donations specifically for the most expensive items: turkey roasts and pumpkin pies—the centerpiece of any Thanksgiving meal!
- 📦 Assemble the Meal Kits: Join us for a lively packing session on Wednesday, November 26th! Many hands make light work as we organize and assemble all the collected goods into complete meal kits, ready for distribution.
- 🚗 Deliver Completed Meal Kits: Help us bring the Thanksgiving cheer directly to the families! We need volunteers to drive and deliver the completed meal kits.
We invite you to join us in continuing our tradition to SHARE THE HARVEST this Thanksgiving! Your participation—whether through donating funds, shopping, packing, or driving—makes a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Thank you for helping to share God’s abundant blessings this holiday season.
