Rummage Sale is Great Success and Supports Many

Where does the Rummage Sale Money go?

Each year, the Presbyterian Women (PW) board thoughtfully decides how to distribute the funds raised. Last year, your generosity supported:

  • Fountains of Hope (water systems in Asheville, North Carolina)
  • Youth Caravan
  • Family Promise (housing for the homeless)
  • Good News Mission
  • Haiti Mobile Clinic
  • Camp Pyoca and scholarships for campers
  • OPPC food and gas cards

We also use proceeds to:

  • Pay our Spring Tea speaker
  • Support OPPC college-age youth with Christmas and Valentine gift cards
  • Pay dues to the national PW organization for disaster relief and special projects

What Happens to Unsold Items?

Nothing goes to waste! After the sale:

  • Good News Mission collects remaining items for their secondhand shop on Washington Street in Indianapolis.
  • Blankets and towels are donated to the Hamilton County Humane Society.
  • Books go to the Middleton Library.
  • Jeans are given to the “Jeans Project” for those in need.
  • Infant items are provided to the Pregnancy Center in Noblesville.
  • Baskets are donated to the Altrusa Foundation.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and share our blessings.

Thanks be to God for our many blessings
