Mike has been a pastor since 2006, serving on staff at congregations in Indiana and New Jersey, as well as an adjunct chaplain at Riley Hospital for Children. Mike graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. He then completed an additional postgraduate year at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary earning a Master of Theology in Preaching degree.
After graduation, Mike was honored to have been selected as a 2-year Lake Fellow in Parish Ministry through Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. Following those two additional years of ministry and training, Mike was called to serve as Associate Pastor for Congregational Life at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, NJ, where he served for seven years. As the Samson family felt a need to be 'back home again in Indiana’ nearer to family, Mike began serving as pastor for Hope United Presbyterian Church in Plainfield, IN.
Prior to seminary, Mike graduated from Radford University with a degree in marketing and worked for Turner Broadcasting’s World Championship Wrestling in affiliate relations. Sensing that God had other things ahead for him, he discerned a call to ministry and continues to be grateful to serve in the body of Christ as a pastor.
